Statement by the Jury
Already for more than 10 years this office furniture producer is committed to the values of FSC – all wooden products are FSC-certified – In this year the company took their activities for the mission “Forests for all Forever” to a new level by donoring and actively communicating an ecosystem services project with also social impact in Uganda.
The office furniture manufacturer is promoting the restoration and afforestation of 250 hectares of degraded land in Uganda as part of a long-term commitment and hereby creating a carbon reservoir. In addition to FSC forest certification, the semi-natural forest will also be certified according to the FSC ecosystem service standard, so that the key services of the forest are secured, evaluated and proven in the long term.
